Conference updates

Please note two important updates to the upcoming 49th Annual OCIES Conference:

  1. Please note that the deadline for the submission of abstract has been extended from 15th October to 25th October
  2. We have made the difficult decision to cancel the face-to-face event at the University of Waikato Tauranga Campus. This is due to the ongoing Covid-19 outbreaks and lockdowns, making it uncertain as to whether a face-to-face event in December will be able to happen and difficult for people to plan travel. Most of the planned programme will be shifted to online and University of Waikato hopes to be able to host the OCIES community at another time in the near future.

49th Annual OCIES Scholarship Awards

The Oceania Comparative and International Education Society (OCIES) has as part of its mandate the goal of furthering and promoting comparative and international education scholarship within the region. A core component of this is supporting new and emerging scholars to share and disseminate their work. This year we will have up to five Emerging Scholar Awards for postgraduate students (research masters or PhD)  and up to five Excellence in Research Awards for experienced scholars. Please note that the deadline for the scholarship awards has been extended from 15th October to 25th October.
