Exploring challenges in education through innovation and collaboration

3-5.30pm, Thursday 27 July, 2017

Are you a Melbourne based researcher, student or practitioner interested in comparative and international education? Do you want to meet others who are working or researching in similar areas as you and to have the opportunity to learn about their work and experiences in an informal setting?

Then join us for an interactive afternoon for an opportunity to hear from speakers, share your ideas experiences and socialise at the Melbourne Graduate School of Education, The University of Melbourne, over drinks and nibbles.

Three speakers will stimulate our conversation with a panel discussion sharing their experiences and ideas about working and researching in a globalised, transnational world:

  • Professor Fazal Rizvi; Professor in Global Studies in Education, The University of Melbourne
  • Professor David Clarke; Director, International Centre for Classroom Research, The University of Melbourne
  • Dr Radhika Gorur, Senior Lecturer in Education, Deakin University, DECRA Fellow

The panel discussion will be followed by structured networking sessions, focusing on different geographic regions exploring a variety of issues related to education reform, policy and practice.

We will be offering drinks and nibbles during the seminar.

Time: 3-5.30pm
