FreshEd (https://freshedpodcast.com/) is a weekly podcast that seeks to make complex ideas in educational research easily understood. To encourage new voices in education podcasting we are now launching FreshEdFlux.
Are you a graduate student who wants to develop, produce and deliver a creatively complex, multi-voiced, narrative style episode for FreshEdFlux?
Your episode will have a global perspective while focusing on places that are usually under-represented. Your deep-dive storytelling will be informed by cutting edge ideas and issues in education broadly defined. It will be made for an English-speaking audience (but could include other languages that have been translated into English), and will be between 20-30 minutes long.
We would prefer it if you already had technical skills (such as, audio editing, knowledge of high-quality audio recording, narrative storyboarding, etc), but we can also provide you with some technical assistance and training, if necessary. An executive producer will also help motivate, guide and coach you from start to finish.
If you are interested in applying, please send us:
- An audio biography about yourself (2 minutes max);
- A concise written statement of your idea for the episode (600 words max);
- Your two-page CV.
Email submissions to flux@freshedpodcast.com
Deadline for submissions (no exceptions): September 15th, 2020 at 11:59pm BST
A stipend will be awarded to the successful candidate/s ($2500 USD). The episode will be aired on FreshEd in 2021.
