Of Words, Warriors and War
Michelle’s research is creative, collaborative and Pasifika performance-based. Through spoken word, music and dance, she will talk story about her Creative PhD journey, and the ongoing work of the Black Friars to re-story Pasifika in the largest Polynesian city in the world. She is joined by Music Director, Siosaia Folau, and choreographer, Theresa Sao, to perform what it might mean to reach back and pull forward, to honour our ancestors, to activate our heritage literacies, to grow future leaders and to hold courageous spaces for our young people to walk tall in both of their worlds.
