A Powhiri (Māori Cultural Welcome) will be held at the VUW Marae to open The OCIES 2018 Conference. The Powhiri will be held at Te Herenga Waka Marae, Kelburn Parade, Victoria University of Wellington, on Monday 19th November at 2pm and finishing at 3.30pm.
Conference participants will gather at 48 Kelburn Parade (by the Overbridge at Kelburn Campus) at 1.40pm for a briefing.
In keeping with Māori protocols, conference participants (as visitors) will sing a waiata (song). Please check the soundbite (of the simple song, Te Aroha) and learn ahead of this welcome ceremony.
